Our board members, program leaders, and service providers bring experience, compassion, and commitment to supporting youth, families, and the Rockford community. Together, we deliver trusted programs in mentoring, counseling, education, and maternal health that make a lasting impact.

Champions Benchmark is led by a dedicated team of community leaders, professionals, and advocates who are committed to supporting youth and families in Rockford and Winnebago County.

Leadership

Demetrius Champion, CEO & Founder
Passionate community leader with over 20 years of experience supporting families, youth, and underserved communities. Provides vision, strategy, and partnerships to drive Champions Benchmark’s mission.

Board of Directors

D. Champion – Social Media Manager & Insurance Consultant
Manages digital engagement and outreach, ensuring Champions Benchmark stays connected with the community.

J. Champion – Treasurer
Oversees finances and budget planning, ensuring transparency and strong stewardship of funds.

M. Champion – IT & Security Manager
Leads technology strategy, including software systems for reporting, data security, and case management.

STAFF:

DL. Champion – Family & Individual Counselor
Facilitates counseling and family-strengthening workshops, supporting mental health, emotional well-being, and conflict resolution.

A. Sheppard – Doula & Social Media Support
Certified Doula serving pregnant and parenting clients through education, mentoring, and advocacy. Provides prenatal and postpartum support and also assists with Champions Benchmark’s social media outreach.

N. Torrence – Community Engagement Specialist
Leverages her skills as a DJ and community connector to host events and increase program visibility.
